Rabbit & Turtle Jeon is located only a few steps from Seongsu Station, making it easy to visit while exploring the neighborhood.
The main reason to visit is to experience one of Korea’s classic food pairings: freshly cooked Korean pancakes with traditional makgeolli
Personally, I did not think the overall value was particularly good, so I would not recommend making a special trip just for this restaurant.
However, if you are already exploring Seongsu and want to try Korean pancakes and makgeolli without traveling to another area, it is a convenient option.

The Seafood Chive Pancake is the main dish I recommend ordering here.
Made with fresh seafood and Korean chives, it is pan-fried until lightly crispy on the outside while remaining soft inside.
Korean pancakes are usually shared with friends or family rather than eaten individually.
For the best experience, order the Seafood Chive Pancake with a bottle of Jangsu Makgeolli, one of Korea’s most popular traditional rice wines.

The market provides a much more traditional atmosphere where visitors can watch pancakes being cooked on large griddles while enjoying various Korean street foods.
Rabbit & Turtle Jeon is simply a convenient option for travelers staying around Seongsu, while Gwangjang Market offers a more complete traditional Korean pancake experience.
Try Korean Chicken and Beer Nearby
After enjoying Korean pancakes and makgeolli, another classic Korean dining experience is fried chicken with beer, commonly known as chimaek.
There are several local chicken restaurants near Seongsu, as well as many popular Korean franchise brands.
Each restaurant offers different styles of fried chicken, including original, soy garlic, sweet and spicy, boneless chicken, and a variety of fried side dishes.
Trying Korean fried chicken with beer is another enjoyable way to experience Korean food culture.
Atmosphere
Rabbit & Turtle Jeon has a casual neighborhood atmosphere suitable for lunch, dinner, or drinks.
Because it is located close to Seongsu Station, it is often visited by nearby office workers.
Rather than being a destination restaurant, it is simply a convenient local restaurant for travelers already exploring Seongsu.
Final Thoughts
Rabbit & Turtle Jeon is a convenient place to experience Korean pancakes and traditional makgeolli while visiting Seongsu.
Personally, I did not think the restaurant offered particularly good value for money, so I would not recommend making a special trip just to eat here.
However, if you are already in the neighborhood, ordering the Seafood Chive Pancake with Jangsu Makgeolli is an easy way to experience one of Korea’s classic food pairings.
For a more traditional experience, I recommend visiting Gwangjang Market and trying its famous mung bean pancakes. Afterward, you can also enjoy Korean fried chicken and beer at one of Seongsu’s nearby chicken restaurants.
